Every student I have spoken to here at Magill College is attending as part of a journey of self-improvement. Many students are aiming to enter secondary or tertiary institutions where English is the first language. Other students require a significant level of language skills in English to improve their jobs or chances of getting jobs. Whatever their motivation, every student finds learning a language much more difficult than expected, especially in terms of how long it takes. While learning a language comes naturally to all of us, it takes time and persistence, as well as the right learning conditions.

The best way to learn a language is in the native culture of that language. And the best way to speed up the process is studying in a specific program. Such a program should be designed to address the difficulties of acquisition as well as the situations in which the person will be using it, including universities and various workplaces.
